A Texas woman allegedly yelled a racial slur and resisted arrest after she left her sleeping 1-year-old child in a car outside a club early Monday morning, police said.
Officers found Samantha Vaughan, 26, inside the club in the city of Copperas Cove, and she told the cops that she had consumed two shots and later yelled, “You will not take my child and place her with a f—ing [n-word],” according to a police criminal complaint.
Vaughan resisted arrest, police said in the complaint, tossing her body around.
She told police in the central Texas city that she had entered the club to pick up her husband.
A mugshot from the incident showed Vaughan smiling broadly with a cut on her forehead. Police said in the complaint that she injured her head while throwing herself around inside the car.
Police said they recorded Vaughan’s blood alcohol level at 0.148.
