It took a while, but Anthony Scaramucci has finally figured out that Donald Trump always turns on you sooner or later.
The Mooch tweeted Sunday that President Trump only accepts 100% blind loyalty after Trump lashed out at him as unqualified.
“Eventually he turns on everyone and soon it will be you and then the entire country,” Scaramucci tweeted.
Scaramucci — who was White House communications czar for 11 days in July 2017 — had mostly stayed on Trump’s good side since abruptly being dumped amid a feud with Steve Bannon and various other now-also-dumped Trump White House offiicials.
He crossed the Trump line when he criticized Trump for fumbling the response to mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton last week
Scaramucci called Trump’s trip to El Paso a “catastrophe” and opined on MSNBC that the coverage showed him lacking “compassion” and “empathy.”
That blew Trump’s top. Branding Scaramucci as “totally incapable,” Trump said his ex-ally “seems to do nothing but television as the all time expert on ‘President Trump.’”
He also accused Scaramucci of cashing in on Trump’s fame, perhaps the biggest no-no in the attention-obsessed president’s eyes.
“(Scaramucci) should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch!” Trump tweeted.
That would put the Mooch in the same category as other onetime White House favorites like Bannon, whom Trump derisively dubbed “Sloppy Steve” after he dished the dirt for Michael Wolff’s first White House tell-all book.
