A crazed man jammed a knife into another man’s eye during a bloody clash outside a Brooklyn bodega early Saturday — wounding the victim so severely he may lose his eye, police sources said.
Terrell Herring, 28, stormed into a deli on Broadway near DeKalb Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant about 1:50 a.m., cops said.
He ran behind the counter, grabbed a knife, then ran out and knocked a 27-year-old man to the ground, stunned witnesses told police.
Herring then jumped on top of the victim and stabbed him in the eye, cops said. He was arrested a short distance away, police said.
The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where doctors told police he may lose his eye, sources with knowledge of the case said.
It was not immediately clear why Herring, of Queens, targeted the victim. Cops charged him with assault, petty larceny for stealing the knife and drug possession after police found cocaine on him.
