Sanjay Gupta slams Bollywood for not supporting Shah Rukh Khan: The astute silence in his moment of crisis is nothing short of SHAMEFUL Ever since Aryan Khan’s arrest in the drug case, Bollywood ‘Baadshah’ Shah Rukh Khan has been receiving immense support from fans. But a handful of his colleagues and friends from the entertainment industry have come out in support of SRK and his family in these difficult times. Now, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has slammed the industry for not standing in support of Shah Rukh Khan in his moment of personal crisis. Questioning the ‘astute silence’, Sanjay Gupta tweeted, “Shahrukh Khan has and continues to give jobs and livelihoods to thousands in the film industry. He has always stood up for every cause for the film industry. And the astute silence of the same film industry in his moment of crisis is nothing short of SHAMEFUL.” He had further wrote, “Aaj uska beta hai, kal mera ya tumhaara hoga… Tab bhi issi buzdalli se chup rahoge??? (Today it is his son, tomorrow it will be mine or yours… will you still maintain this cowardly silence???)”. Earlier also, Sanjay Gupta tweeted in Shah Rukh’s support and wrote, ‘Shahrukh Khan has always been there in his own way for every one that has ever needed help and reached out to him. THIS I CAN SAY FOR A FACT!’ Meanwhile, many celebs from the industry also extended their support and stood in solidarity with King Khan and his family including Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan, Swara Bhasker, Twinkle Khanna, Hansal Mehta, Farah Khan Ali, Shekhar Suman among others. Talking about the case, Aryan Khan is currently lodged in Arthur Road Jail. On October 21, Aryan was allowed to meet his father Shah Rukh Khan and the duo interacted for around 18 minutes in the meeting section using an intercom. They looked emotional as this was the first time Aryan was meeting any family member since his arrest in the drugs case. According to the jail authorities, Shah Rukh was treated like any other inmate’s relative and was not given any special treatment. Aryan Khan moved the Bombay HC after a special court rejected his bail application while making a note that he was indulging in ‘illicit drug activities on a regular basis’. The HC will now hear his bail plea on October 26.
