A supremely confident Delhi Capitals (DC) will face an unpredictable Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 36 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The game will be held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

DC beat Sunrisers Hyderabad rather convincingly as they resumed their IPL 2021 campaign in the UAE. On the other hand, RR literally walked out of jail against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The opponents failed to score eight runs in the last two overs with eight wickets in hand. RR are obviously not complaining.

The points table is, however, a fair refection of the gulf between the two teams. While DC are second to Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2021 points table only on the basis of an inferior run-rate, RR are somehow hanging on, and are in the fifth position with four wins and as many losses from eight matches.

DC’s bowling was top-notch against SRH. Anrich Nortje was reunited with Kagiso Rabada and the two wreaked havoc again. While Nortje was man of the match for his figures of 2 for 12, Rabada claimed 3 for 37. Left arm spinner Axar Patel was also impressive with 2 for 21. With the bat, Prithvi Shaw fell cheaply. However, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were all among the runs.

Delhi can be expected to retain the winning combination for Saturday’s clash against RR.

DC’s predicted XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Avesh Khan

Rajasthan may have defeated PBKS by the thinnest of margins but they have plenty to work on. Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal got the team off to a great start but, apart from Mahipal Lomror, no one else could capitalize on the start.

Kartik Tyagi and Mustafizur Rahman won them the game with the ball. But the likes of Chris Morris will need to be more effective.

RR’s predicted XI: Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Liam Livingstone, Mahipal Lomror, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Chethan Sakariya, Kartik Tyagi, Mustafizur Rahman

Top Fantasy picks for DC vs RR clash: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Anrich Nortje, Liam Livingstone, Mahipal Lomror, Kartik Tyagi
